Because sharing is caring. This service project is all about collecting items we have at home but aren't using, packaging them, and then sharing them with those in need. Started in 2015, I collect all kind of new/unused items including hotel soaps, shampoo, lotion, dental items, lip balm and other new or gently used items. Once I collect them, I package them and find non-profits to distribute the packages to people in need. The donation of these items may seem small but to the recipient, they often mean so much. I hope you'll join me in helping create more Share Packages.

During the pandemic, our less fortunate community members have had limited access to important protective and sanitary equipment. At Share Packages, we have expanded to be able to incorporate this equipment into our packages to support our community and help keep people healthy. Donations of items like soap, hand sanitizer, masks and other PPE-type items are appreciated! Also, cold temps have arrived so local charities are looking for warm weather gear such as coats, socks and hats.
How Share Packages Works - 3 Easy Steps
1. Collect ItemsI accept donations of any kind of personal size items from soap and shampoo to toothbrushes, floss and Chapstick. Toiletry items must be unused.
|
2. Package ThemI check all items then sort them and package a set of different items in a bag with a Share Packages label. I pack larger items in boxes to deliver.
|
3. Share ThemI send or drop off the Share Packages to organizations that help people in need so they can distribute them.
